Because it's not a virus. It's "spy ware" or "ad-ware", stuff that either records what you do on your computer or tries to sell you something. Like Peter said, it's called "contextual advertising", it's making links of words it recognizes and tries to get you to click them. SpyBot and AdAware should do the trick. And even if I didn't say it, it's probably gotten on your machine because you're using IE. It's Active X-controls let in all kinds of spy- adn adware programs without asking you anything.

Try downloading this:
http://www.chip.de/downloads/c_downl..._11353582.html

Then go here and print the instructions. Run "HiJackThis" (Instructions on HiJackThis: http://hjt.klaffke.de/en/ and http://tomcoyote.com/hjt/ ) and delete the stuff your told to on this page:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/hijacked/#removal

If that doesn't help try this:

If that doesn't help, try this:

It seems like a lot of mumbo jumbo, but just read the parts you understand and don't let the code fool you. You just need to find something similar on your computer and delete it.

After that, go to Windows Update and install ALL updates it recommends you to.
