Default Another reason why BOR reigns supreme

It was a few years back and I was in a car with with this girl trying to explain to her, as always with everyone, the wonders of Bon Jovi.
She hadn't really heard any of their music before or at least didn't recognize it by name. It was probably 2 in the morning and we had just gotten back from an excellent evening of talking, driving around aimlessly, and trying to catch a cat that was running around in a field (her idea, I wasn't quite so carefree back then...pretty much a wuss really). Turns out the cat had a mess of kittens in the field and so she got pretty upset and we let her be. God it was great. Anyways, somehow or another Bed of Roses gets brought up on the ride home and I am trying to convince her it is the greatest rock ballad ever created. She seems skeptical that God would create such a perfect ballad and that to know Richie's guitar playing is to "know God" (as I so aptly put it), but I persist. She has never heard it so finally...she tells me to sing it to her. Uh oh.

"I can't sing" blah blah blah I keep saying getting more and more nervous by the second, but she keeps persisting and the next thing I knew I was sitting in her car in the quiet of the night on the best ride to who-knows-where I had ever had....singing Bed of Roses, with no cd or radio and no fear--just me and her eyes shimmering in the starlight. I had never sung anything like that to anyone. It was amazing (And one of the only times I have ever hit the "bed of naaaaaails"....yeah, you know what I am talkin' about ). A life changing-best-night- of-my-life.

I actually wrote an essay on why BOR regins supreme for class a while back hehe, but this is just another reason

How's that for a story?

In my opinion this is one of the best love stories thank you for sharing. This was your night you was meant to hit that note. I say that with amazement I could never hit that note. I remember trying I would end up coughing. When a girl tells you to sing for her you have no choice and pray for the best.LOL. As I do because I couldn't sing to save my life. Amazing love story.

Bed of Roses was never one of my favs until recently, and the memories I have now got of it I will cherish for ever. Unfortunately I cant reveal too much of them coz it involves another party who is married (dont take that the wrong way, nothing has happened between us)

Bed of Roses is probably my favorite BJ song. I do agree that it definetely does have some magical chemistry about it, and it is an amazing love ballad. I have two very vivid memories of this song.

#1 was during May of 2002, when I was asked to go to a school's prom by a special someone (now my current G/F), who never had a passion for Bon Jovi, but I dragged her into being a fan. At the prom, the time was coming for the last song, and I begged the DJ to play Bon Jovi. He asked me what song, and I responded Bed of Roses, expecting to be disappointed by the DJ not having it, but he said, "Great Choice, buddy," and pulled out the Crossroad CD. I went back over to my date, and we waited until the final song kicked up, and Richie's guitar blasted all throughout the ballroom. My date asked me what this was, because she never heard it, and I replied, "this is none other than the best there is," and she instantly said, "gotta be Bon Jovi!" I sang the entire song to her, while holding her in my arms for the last time of her prom. It was definetely one of those moments in which I was able to hit the bed of naaaaaails, which really capped my night, lol. But it seemed that Bed of Roses captured the Prom by being adored as the outgoing seniors last song.

Adam

(Took out the second one due to popular demand. Didn't want to start off on the wrong foot )

Do you ever think of anything that isn't getting high? Still, I suppose that thats what living above an off license will do to you......now imagine living over a women's clothing shop!
