Default 1st UK NUMBER 1 / No Regrets

The daily star ( UK ) has an article on Jon and Ritchie in London last Thursday, they went to a lap dancing club and spent a fortune!!!! brill picture of Jon giving the press a finger!!!!! The article states that BJ are on track for Number 1 this week, how many of us will be partying after 7pm on sunday if that is so!!!! lets hope they do it.

Secondly, No Regrets, does anyone think that Jon sounds slightly like OZZY OSBOURNE on the verses???? maybe its the voice distortion, its a cool song no matter what!

BON JOVI ON TOP?

Bon Jovi look set to take the top spot in this week's singles chart, dethroning Atomic Kitten and forcing pop-rocker Pink to settle for second place.

According to midweek figures, the top five could see four new entries on Sunday with newcomers Busted battling out with Eminem for fourth and fifth positions.

Elsewhere, the Britpop contingent is faltering slightly with two comeback tracks - Suedes Positivity and Supergrass Grace - struggling to make the top ten.

Paul Weller, on the other hand, sorts the men from the boys with his new long-player, Illumination, likely to go straight to the top of this week's album charts

it would be such a suprise for bj to get a no.1, seen as everyday isnt getting lots of airplay and off mtvs playlist it would show all the ''fashionable'' statins like radio 1 (uk) the two fingers, come on the boys!!!

Howdy

Does seem a bit odd that Everyday should get top spot when a couple of years ago IML only went to No.3....

For me IML had a better video (a more memorable one anyway), a really catchy chorus (not saying that Everyday isn't catchy), and was the 'comeback' single. IML got a hell of a lot of video play and it was around nearly everywhere you went.

It'd be quite funny if Everyday should get there

i think that the public profile of the band is bigger now. they were big with These Days then disappeared for ages. Real Life came out and only caused a ripple. Then Crush, but i think only die hard fans knew about that coming, however the album brought on a lot of new fans. However, in the last year they have done so much for the American people after Sept 11th and this in turn has raised there profile more, i hate when people say that this was intentional though. the band are American and every American was touched by what happened, Bon Jovi were there to express what everyone felt at that time. The America the Beautiful event was brilliant for want of a better word.

I would be really surprised if they get number one, it would be great if they did, maybe selling the 2 cds together has boosted the sales figures?

If they were going to make number one ,I would ahe expectd it earlier on in their career, Always nearly made it and was their highest entry. Public seems to prefer BJ ballards .

I hope everyday does get it, you have to keeep the old faith.

I guess Jon said at SBE that Everyday IS going to be #1. But how can he know that if the charts come out on Sunday??

hate to put a dampner on it but the uk charts are VERY corrupt with record companies buying thousands of records themselves to ensure a record hits top spot as has happened numerous times in the past. the latest release of ' alittle less conversation' had been no 1 for weeks when the same record company released the latest song from the pop prats programme - what happened? the company withdrew 'a little less..' so there were not enough copies in circulation to keep it no1 hence allowing their new reocrd to take over.

what I am saying is that there is no way everyday will be a genuine no1 this weekend because it has had no airplay, no reviews and next to no publicity. it will be nice to see them get a no1 single but it will definately be fixed as the rest of the uk charts have been for years.

No promotion? Where have you been?

There have been appearances on CD U.K. loads of play on the music channels such as Q, The Box and Kerrang. The capitol Radio gig, Sheperds bush gig - all which generate lots of promo. There has been radio play or capitol, virgin, local stations (only radio one has not picked it up - but they didnt with any of the crush stuff either!)

The interent itself is a bit promo too in this day an age also.....

The corruptness is the U.K. media is there - but it has been blown out of proportion by the U.K. media. It's there everywhere, whatever counrty you are in. they other countries just don't have the scroupulous british press to deal with....
