well there has got to be a lot of stuff we havn't heard yet in any form. I'd like to hear some demo songs from the Farenheit era if there is any...

I don't want to get hopeful but if there are 10+ New Jersey demos that no-one has heard and are more or less up to the standards of the actual album, then I'd be very happy..

hopefully we won't get a bunch of b-sides we've already downloaded.. Love is War etc. and poor quality demos that sound like they were recorded in mono.

fingers crossed

Aloha !

It's true, New Jersey was supposed two contain 2 discs. After the succes of Slippery Jon and Richie both started writing a lot of songs. And when they finalized a lot of recordings they thought they should release 2 CD's. Now that they looked back on it they're glad that they didn't do it. It would've been to expensive for costumers and the average level wouldn't be as high at it is now.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I hope that we'll see some truly rare stuff in the boxset.

can anybody tell me how many old thing and how many new things will be on that boxset? or is it ways to early to tell?

cause if it is just another "everything old, except maybe 10% new songs"-box, like a lot of bands do, it would be again only a money thing...

i hate that! i also hate best of albums with 2 or 3 new songs on it! grrrr!

Well since it's obviously fan orientated there's bound to be a lot of old (but unheard) stuff. I think they should take time and reflexion on why they play music in the first place before coming up with really new songs.

Obie said its stuff NO-ONE has got or heard before, stuff he didnt even know still existed

he also said some of it is like "why didnt we put this on an album!?!?"

although if its that good, cant they just re-do it and put it on the next album!!!!!!!!

They certainly recorded lots of demos around the New Jersey time because I have a lot of them, all good sound quality. I think I have about 10 or 12 New Jersey demos.
