As much as the Bon Jovi camp is able to promote...their decisions for singles...especially the follow ups to the intial album single...SUCK!

What the hell was Say It Isn't So about? You had One Wild Night, Just Older, Captain Crash, Two Story Town, Next 100 Years....yet they go with Say It Isn't So? And when they DID release One Wild Night as a single..it was a horrible watered down remix.

They also need to realize...as apparently some of the poster's here need to...that ballads are no longer the way to go. With bands like Bon Jovi....more often you get the public going "Phhhht...another ballad from those guys....is that all they can do??? They suck and can't rock!!" That's why something like It's My Life will do well where Thank You For Loving Me, regardless of quality, will relatively tank. So no....Misunderstood isn't the way to go...not right now. Honestly...something like The Distance is probably best...being moody and building up. I would say Undivided....but like someone said..it could be misconstrued as promoting off of tragedy....so its best as an album/live track.

Jon said at Shepherd's Bush that the new single will be Misunderstood.
He didn't actually say will be. He said we are thinking about making this one the new single, refering to Misunderstood. Good song but a mistake. A great second single would be Undivided. Who cares about people not wanting to hear a 9/11 song. It rocks!

What, just because we may have a set of boobs means we can't want two hard rocking songs in a row??? I've got a set and my vote for the next single goes to Bounce...

LOL I hope the next single will be a ballad, the right side of the wrong, or maybe Undivided... however, I don't care... what does it matter anyway? you already have the track on your Bounce and the choice what song will be the next single doesn't influence the b-sides... so..?

Personally, I think Misunderstood would be great as a single. You see, Everyday is a good song, but didn't chart that successfully. I hadn't released it. But anyway, Misunderstood would be the perfect follower: not that hard rocking like Everyday, very melodious, it makes you sing along etc. Great one. As the 3rd single I would release Undivided. Good rock song, especially the stanza (but therefore not that "radio-friendly"). And again, very melodious chorus that makes you feel the passion in this one. Then, as the 4th and last single, I'd release a ballad. That's it. But please not Bounce, the song is ok, but critics would say it's just a rip off of It's My Life (and they would not be that wrong about it).

So to succeed at the commercial market, these would be - in my opinion - the best songs to be released.

ktf, Johannes

I like All About Loving You, but I wouldn't chose it as the next single. Ballads aren't big here in my area. But it's not my choice... it's fun to read everyone's debates what the next single will be. We'll find out soon enough and interesting to see what choices are actually made in the long run. If I was my decision I'd have released Undivided instead of Everyday. Agree with the comment about different singles in different markets. Just an example(and probably a bad one too, LOL for lack of a better one at the moment) David Hasselhoff(sp?) is a big music star in Germany, and here in the States he's best know for acting on tv's Nightrider and Baywatch series(plus he was on the Young and the Restless soap opera, as Snapper Foster, hee hee)! His singing career never took off here. Different strokes for different folks, makes the world go 'round!
