Just because...All the money come, sorry came, from America and the fact that the band is from US. I can check the market shares if you want, but I think that almost 50% share comes from US, Japan, UK & Germany (combined).

No it's not, but if you know about the US sales that alone gives you usually enough information to calculate (or estimate) the worldwide sales.

For example, These Days was a flop in US. It Sold about 8 times more outside the US compared the US. I think DA was something like TD and it sold max 3 mil worldwide (And of course according to certifications it can't be more). And These Days is really the only flop in US...

I remember hearing that on German TV back in the day. The information on the IFPI Germany website is not the most accurate. They also say that KTF went only 1x Platinum(200k) which is simply bollocks as KTF is one of the most successful albums EVER to be released in Germany. On the other hand, I can't find a source for any of my statements right now so I guess you can doubt all I am saying. It's true nonetheless :P

I think that the exaggeration started in year 2002 just before releasing Bounce. That time they had sold 92 million albums based on their own words. And then they expected Bounce to raise the numbers to 100 million... So the next news about the record sales was that Bon Jovi had sold 100 million albums....
I know that the promo and everything makes some people to buy earlier production and that way the numbers can change. But seriously...
No way that in time between 2002 and 2003 before releasing TLFR they had sold 8 million albums....
But that is just my point of view...

They have always had a lot of fans in Japan certainly - even in the early days - and have always played plenty shows in Europe on their tours. They do play more shows by number across the USA, but here they play to stadiums which hold more people. Why would they play elsewhere so much unless they knew that they had fans?
Again its simple and to do with popularity during certain era's - and your reply has nothing to do with actual sales because of economial reasons. US has more to spend that in certaini part of Asia and Europe. UK or Holland has more to spend per person then in Russia during the 80's and early '90 which could've been a huge difference in sales figures for Europe but wasn't due to economical and political reasons - and Russia was a lot bigger back then, same goes for Spain for example (except the political part).
Then difference prices for cd's before downloads were huge in different parts of the world which didn't justify what to spend per person in certain era's.
There are a lot more factors, hence I'd said your explanation is way to simple....

BJ / 7800 Fahrenheit / SWW / NJ, sold more in the US then in Europe (or Asia? not sure), hence my earlier statement.

KTF / TD / DA, sold (alot) more in Europe or Asia then in the US, hence my earlier statement.

Dont know about the 00's.

Don't forget the US is ONE big market and Europe are a lot of different smaller markets combined......

And yeah, It isn't hard to believe to figure out it sold 1.5m alone in Germany...... DA was really HUGE back then in Europe.

Midnight in Chelsea and Queen Of New Orleans are still featured in random top xxx of all time songs over here...

Midnight in Chelsea is one of the biggest hits in Holland ever. Always and IML (and KTF??) are the only songs that were bigger here as in terms of being a 'hit'

What the **** are you on? It didn't make the top 10 and was in the charts only for 8 weeks.

Another fact is that he sold 2 mil. here in Germany of DA alone, don't know how many Blaze of Glory albums he sold. He also got platinum in Switzerland for DA (don't know how many albums you have to sell there for getting this though).
