I would be worried of any live release as it would probably be an insult to the fans and be a show from the last 15 years. It would never happen (just dreaming here), but I would love a major DVD set that includes a show from every album tour since New Jersey, a new documentary that talks about the music, and a final DVD with all the videos on it. I would pay $10 for this 11 or 12 DVD set.

If not I would take another box set, for $5.

We will get nothing though.

Is the boxset confirmed or is it just the original posters thoughts?

I would think the cost of a physical release would be too much effort for the record company, but I'd be more than happy for them to release a bunch of stuff as digital download.

I think the days of releasing a fancy 6 disc box set are long behind us for the most part.

Yes, provided they are well mixed.

That's the problem....

People want all this stuff but don't want to pay for any of it. They want to rip it off the net.

The record co knows this and that's why we'll prob get something shitty that doesn't cost much.

Prob a mix of shit from the past 15 years. The only positive with Richie leaving this tour is, I seriously doubt they'd give us something for 30 yrs with Phil on it. So in retro, that saved us from such a release because I'd bet that was the idea. Jons done with his "childhood past" and wants to move on from it. 2000 forward is the band now and thats what he wants to continue to promote.
