Screaming and crying your heart out... acting like your life is over and the end of the tour is the worst thing in the world.

Yes there was, Jon's voice was excellent in Amsterdam, and I heard the same about Mannheim and Bremen.

Unless you heard these songs "Soundboard...i.e. the way they would sound on the DVD" you cant make that observation. I heard Jon 3 times this tour live and had no problems at all with his voice. HOWEVER, i just bought the new U2 DVD and Bono's voice is so clear through the centre channel there cant be too many mistakes. As i said i think when the band sits down and listens to it Jon doesnt like it enough to put out another DVD

Or maybe, they want to see how well the TLFR DVD does with the bonus disc as a sort of FEEL for how well a full-length Hyde Park DVD would sell if it was released, and if it did well, we'll get a proper release

Hey, I can dream can't I?!?

Yes I can. I can tell you from an audience bootleg if Jon's voice is bad or good, and the only soundboard things we got from the Bounce tour were the US shows, with the exception of Hyde Park. At Hyde Park Jon's voice was good, but not at it's best during this tour. I think Amsterdam was one of the shows his voice was the best.

Sebastiaan

I must disagree with you in this one. I din`t think bootlegs willgive a clear hearing from a mans voice. I mean I have( marijke told me) more than 800 audioitems, but on none of them you can say it`s the voice. It`s always the quality of the recording that makes the voice. There are some damned good ones between the bootlegs, but they still are what thet ment to be..not professianal recordings.

I hate to break it to you but from what i heard of Hyde Park it's not good enough to be a full-legnth DVD, Captain crash from TV sounded bad and blood on Blood wasnt anything special, they would get a better DVD from one of the earlier shows from Japan or the US.

I agree with you on this, but I never said HP was good enough for DVD. I was there and still remember Jon who started singing Bounce while me and Thierry looked at eachother like "I hope his voice will improve during the show." Which it did.

We both were in Amsterdam too, and me and Thierry agreed that his voice was very good, just like it was in Mannheim. I haven't been to Mannheim though, but I can hear it on the bootleg.

I don't think they'll release a show from the US on DVD because the crowd is just not as into it as in Europe. And releasing a show with a crowd that looks bored is not the best thing to do.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
