hey,
Ray, your poem (which was excellent by the way) reminded me of something. My uncle recently died at the young age of 51 (btw:i'm only 15) and at his funeral, people could go up to the podium and say something about him. Now, my unlce was the type that loved to party and have a good time and live life to it's fullest. My aunt said he lived 9 lives. So, my cousin (his son) went up to the podium and said something. He said that he'd like to thank his dad for teaching him not to follow the path in life that everyone else takes, but follow your own path and do what you wanna do so that you live your life to the fullest. What he said has kinda stuck with me since. And your poem reminded me of that. I guess it's what i've been think a lot lately, but couldn't really put it into words. so, great job on the poem.
thanks,
Juliet

Flames are all around you
How you gonna sleep again?"
