I don't want Bobby taking up the leads.
I mean there where shows on the HAND tyour where he played 3 solos, that's just to much. The guitar sound benefits somewhat from him being there to play rythm (though sometimes he didn't do a damn thing) but Richie is Bon Jovi's guitar player. bobby staying is fine by me but please no more soloing, the dude's got to stiff a style.

But for the LH tracks he isn't needed that much. This songs need a steel guitar and a violin but not another keyboard.
He will be performing at the MTV/ VH1 unplugged next week. And he will be back next year.
That's what his myspace blog said.
hmmm his blog says this

An answer to the question on whether or not I'll be out on various dates with Bon Jovi this Summer. While I'll continue to do the JBJ/Bon Jovi acoustic stuff-promo, charity concerts, some corporate stuff-as well as participating in the Bon Jovi:Unplugged taping, I won't be doing any of the BJ shows supporting the new Lost Highway CD. The Nashville-flavored record doesn't have much keyboard work to help cover, while on the other hand, it does contain quite a bit of steel guitar, fiddle, mandolin, dobro, and a ton of guitar parts. My friends Lorenza, Bobby, and Kurt will picking up the slack for all those sounds. Fantastic musicians all. The strong Artist follows its Muse and I have been lucky to have been along for the ride as Jon and the boys have followed their expanding career path and Muses from the This Left Feels Right days thru the Have A Nice Day period..and the trail will only wind even more....can't wait for the next JK w/ BJ hike.

IMHO he doesn't say for sure he will be back next year ... he says he can't wait for the next JK w/BJ hike .... but we don't know when it is gonna be

I'd have no problems with putting in an extra rhythm player ... most of my favourite bands have two (or more) full time guitarists. A lot of bands bring in extra musicians live anyway, gives for a fuller sound with more depth and colour (as well as making it easier for the other musicians of course)

Talking about Bobby, it seems the general concensus is that people don't want him to take over lead guitar ever, but do want him to put a bit more performance into it. The problem there is though, if he puts more performance in, is he in danger of having people say he's stealing Richie's (or Jon's in the songs he plays guitar in) that way?

Have A nice Day, In these arms at every show since the european tour.
He did a solo on treat her right (which was the only one he nailed correctly) and one a couple of shows he played the solo on These Days (which he butchered).

I don't remember on how many shows he played the TD solo but I do remember seeing a video of it on youtube and a lot of fans complaining how he butchered that solo.
