I once saw an interview with Desmond Child where he said the same: He wanted BTBMB to be an acoustic ballad. Thatīs the way it was written.

yeah its definalty tommy and gina again, i just got a bootleg from NJ tour he says "this is a song that takes tommy and gina full circle, its called born to be my baby" thought you'd like to know.

yeah i guess its kinda obvious he wanted to make the stories of tommy and gina more deep than a shout along affair. Hence prayer '94 i guess.

The acoustic BTBMB is a b-side on a Living In Sin CD single. I know I'm a sucker for acoustic stuff, but I think it is gorgeous. Here it is on YouTube -

See, I know I'm in the minority, but I think the album version of BTBMB is far superior to the acoustic one.

I thoroughly enjoy the original album version, too. Those 2 versions are so different that they almost feel like different songs.

(The other version someone mentioned that I don't care for is the TLFR one.)
