The problem here is that BJ IS a family business and that it does not separate private vs official matters too cleverly. Matt says some very impulsive "stupid" things that make him look bad.
If you use social media "correctly" you have a better way of communicating with fans on a more direct level (and I think Jon tries that with his facebook messages). On the one hand, social media is great for smaller companies but might seem a big "fake" for bigger ones on the other hand.
One thing that is essential (if we are referring to it is PR) the BJ camp has work on HOW they want to present themselves and use those social media channels.
At the level BJ is operating it would make more sense to use he mining tools if THEY really want to know what their fans think

In that recent german interview (Spiegel), Jon said both his brothers have a lot of debt.
Jon is their money source.

Really? I'd be surprised if Jon came out and said that in black and white, that's pretty personal info to be revealing to the world.

Jon said a lot of surprising things in that interview. He even talks about his own financial deals that went badly.
