I love the picture disks, colored disks, and the shaped disks. I have one that's shaped like a bat, one like a saw blade, and a set that are rectangular. I never listen to the vinyl though. I have a few that are still sealed. There's a nice auto-graph etched disk too. I believe it was a single of In These Arms.

Oh . . . everyone needs to STOP talking about cool vinyl stuff. I've resisted buying any (well, other than a couple of radio shows), but you guys are really tempting me!

Nice one! I have the first four albums in vinyl, "New Jersey" from Russia. From time to time I play "Slippery" very loud on my parent's stereo, I once had a LP player, but not anymore.

On a sidenote: For my birthday twi years ago I got Meat Loaf's "Bat Out Of Hell 1" on vinyl from a friend that went with me to his concert, and listening to that LP (veery loudly) while I was washing dishes made me a fan of the record, before that I had only liked a few songs. Vinyl rocks!

I grew up listening to LPs, too. Like Kathleen, I havenīt been interested in them since we got the CD.

Still, I suppose Iīve got a few rarities in my old collection. Iīve got multiple single versions of most of the SWW / NJ era, including the Borderline maxi-single. The most valuable vinyl in my collection would be a Japanese Breakout maxi-single.

I've been tempted to buy old Bon Jovi vinyl's over the years, but never really managed to part with my cash on those occasions as my family haven't own a record player since about 1991.

I only have two vinyls - Hysteria and Adrenalize by Def Leppard.

My parents on the other hand have tones from mainly the 70's and 80's. My dad owns everything Bruce Springsteen album from Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ up to Born In The U.S.A. on vinyl (all in mint condition) and together with my mum, own the Police discography twice!

Never listened to music whilst we had a record player so I've grown up on cassettes and CD's so never had a chance to apreciate vinyl. In recent years my folks have been pondering buying a new record player but then thought "Whould we REALLY play them?", which is a fair point. They've pretty much re-bought all the albums they wanted to listen to again on CD (mainly Bruce/Beatles/Stones)

Vinyls at least LOOK awesome though.

I didn't know there was a disk for WSYCGH. I'll have to try to find that. One disk I was thrilled to get was the Star Wars Christmas album. One I haven't been able to track down though is that Rock to Riches compilation that Runaway originally appeared on.
