I agree to an extent, but I think 'Livin' On A Prayer' is an amazing song when done live. Studio version I don't really care for.

Maybe davids voice doesn't match jon or richie.... But the amount of passion and feeling he puts into in these arms.... Holy shit. Just listen to the studio track. He owns that song.

I agree with you ! Davids version of "In These Arms" is so much better than Bon Jovis. The lyrics gets a tottaly new significance. The soul he puts in that song is more than you can crave of a human being. Just imgaine to hear it live...

He has done it live a few times. Off the top of my head from the lost highway tour he did one of the three Toronto march 2008 dates as the full song. He also sometimes sings the first 2 verses and then jon sings the rest at other venues.

Bon Jovi David Bryan In These Arms March 13 ACC...

He sings the band arrangement rather than his own though.

I just sits and smiles when I watch that clip. It gives me chills. Even though it is Jovis version this one is a killer ! This is David song ! So simple is that. Shall they play it, shall David sing !

It's funny, the way you describe Prayer is how I feel about Wanted. As for stuff against the grain, there's so much for me.
-I think These Days is the 5th best Bon Jovi album.
-I think Crush is awesome, except for the shitty She's A Mystery
-I hate Social Disease, (It's Hard) Letting You Go, If That's What It Takes, Fear, If I Was Your Mother, and most of 7800.
-I think New Jersey is the only Bon Jovi record that's all killer/no filler.
