I understand what you're trying to say, but accepting the fact that Bon Jovi's current musical direction is simplistic and cheesy isn't going to make me love it .. Or even like it. The fact that they once made a These Days proves that they have it in them. They just don't care to make a record with similar depth...because they are afraid it won't sell. They are able to do it, they just don't want to.
Also, their music today is also soulless and forgettable...That is the difference between past Bon Jovi and current Bon Jovi. The 80s records may have been cheesey but they were honest and they had heart.
