Actually I agree with the one who started the thread

People say they have enough money. Money is never enough. And by making new records (I want to live my life x 1 x 2 x 3)apealling to younger audiences and NEW audiences (Country) they just make people buy them and then going "Oh ! They actually come from beggining of the 80's let's see what that was like" Its a lot more money. Remember that they're singles from 2000 on are obviously targeted at young people that watch mtv and the other music channels, I mean the singles are commercial as hell.

And about the passion and blah blah blah. Why if passion is something (as people here say) that they have lots, they don't try to mix the set list a bit. Maybe making older songs with lowered keys. NOOO HOW CAN THEY DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT? Let's better make a record "semi acoustic" butchering all the hits, and worst of all, lets play it live when I (jon) said I wouldn't !!!
No passion in that. Definitely. And Blaze of Glory, don't even get me started in that. Butchering is not enough to say what they did to that great song. And knowing that it sucks, jon goes out in the crowd to sing it to make it more less painful. And the intro.. my god 5 chords over and over again. Maybe not even 5. Nothing new. Nothing new.

I remember when they did Good guys in london. I remember when they let a guy sing Never say goodbye. From this tour I remember when they played dry county for the first time. I was excited but then I thought what the hell I'm excited for? It's just one song that was played a lot in the 90's, and probably it won't be played much this tour. And it wasn't.

But all you're doing is putting thoughts and words into the guys heads to make your case. Don't go saying things like the band knows the new Blaze sucks but they do it anyways, and are therefore awful. That's not a point made at all.

i can see how age can affect the performance of the band but as others have stated there is a lot of other issues coming into it. the main one is all of them have Young familes that they put on hold during th 80s early 90s. these guys arnt robots (hugh mite be) and as we all know you heart cant be in 2 places at once. other singers quit the music business to bring up a fmaily i.e. Garth Brooks. other continue on as jovi do and put good album without there full attension maybe thats why we have been getting bad single choices! who knows!

The last four words in that paragraph seem to contradict the rest of it ...

Nothing new musically. They always improved until TD then It's downhill. You can't make 3 similar "Live my life screw you" songs in 3 diferent records and say that you have a lot to write about and that you write 60 songs for each record.

I'm sorry if the words came out wrong. It's just that I'm talking out of anger and frustation. Watching what BJ has become just kills me. The worst part is that I couldn't enjoy any of the pre 00' shows, not even the post 00' shows.
And please don't be so optimist, you can't be that optimist when Jon himself said that he doesn't fell like a cowboy anymore going into town whenever they play a gig, he said that now he feels like a bussinessman. I can't think of anything but the loss of passion.
Luckily enough I'm discovering other great bands that stay or stayed true to their roots and knew all the way that what makes them succesfull is the people and mostly the fans. Bands that played their heart out like BJ in the 80's or 90's. Bands that played for keeps.

Why? Because you don't feel it for the band anymore, no one else should either? I can be as optimist and I still feel "it" with this band. Has the quality suffered, yes. Am I still here listening? You bet.

How about we just get a room for TD2005 and LeaJovi, since they seem so intent on justifying why Jovi is a disappointment now? Sure, you two can have your opinions, but cry me a freaking river. You both contradict yourselves in your own arguments and then use your opinions like they're facts and everyone agrees with you. WE DON'T ALL AGREE WITH YOU. Get over it.

1) A seperate room is not possible, a seperate thread is possible, hence this thread, open for discussion, no one being harmed. If you don't like the thread, don't look in it (saw this line before....)
2) where do I contradict myself, please specify. I'm very curious
3) My opinion, as a fact huh:

Oh yeah, and it has nothing to do with age
4) Please specify where I said you should agree with me...

thanks for your laughable contribution though....
