I have an interview from where they joked that Crossroad was going to be called Elvis Is Dead We Ain't

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

All those alternative titles are terrible! I much prefer the ones they went with.

Although I'd have preferred something other than 'Bon Jovi' for the first album... I hate album titles that only consist of the band's name...

I don't mind that the original album was called "Bon Jovi".

My reasoning is that they can now never be tempted to call another one of their albums this title.
IE: Like Metallica, Motley Crue and Pearl Jam did, having self titled albums way into their album careers - which to me is stupid - self titled albums should be the first one put out by a band, not their eighth! (IMO)

I remember reading somewhere (I think possibly classic rock magazine)that one of the titles for NJ was "68 and i'll owe you one" to carry on in the same vein as slippery when wet but they thought it was giving the wrong impression about the band. I guess they didn't want the same image as bands like motely crue.

Crush SHOULD have been called Sex Sells, that was a fantastic title.

Bounce could have been called Postcards From The Wasteland, that was a good song and would have been a good album title but still the album should have never even been released.

Both Have A Nice Day and Lost Highway should have been called "We do sincerely apologize for this unspeakably revolting dung that only mental patients could call music".
Hey, I'm no mental patient.

I assume you're talking about Crush/Sex Sells.
What makes you think this? There are still 30 songs we haven't heard from those sessions, including Sex Sells, which Jon described as a big stadium rocker.

Yeah I read that too, I'm sure they decided against it because they didn't want to be tagged as the band with saucy titles.

I'm sure I also read that TLFR was going to be called "Oh No, What Have We Done?"...
