Pretty sure it wasn't.

Don’t say you’ve stalked him for the last 30 years and counted the amount of times they’ve talked..

Not the reason but it could have been a contributing factor.

He was living the rock star lifestyle, we know he wasn't keen on working in the studio on songs, he rather learnt them and played live. I think he just couldn't adapt to the 90s when the scene changed, Jon established BJM and it probably became more of a business project than a group of guys having fun together. And because he was significantly older and touring probably wasn't fun as it had been, he got sick of all of it.

So this is a song about having a dream and chasing it, till you find the Bright Lights." - Aldo Nova.

regarding his deparure...

... i believe alec was the main one who questioned jons voices calls leadership... he was older and was probably hard for him to play along with the sudden change in the staus quo inside the band...he was also being paid less than the other guys...furthermore he was not participating in the studio and the songwriting process which widen the gap between the other guys and him...
in the later nj and ktf era i think it was mainly tico who acted like a connecting link...
having said all that jons word were gracefull and fair recognising Alecs crucial role into Bj...

Bad Name

In a live setting I mean.
The opening chorus with falsetto background vocals by Alec. And then the pyrotechnics would explode

I miss those days.

Just devastated. A great man.

He was and always be a part of Bon Jovi. And it's success.

I think the "Keep the Faith" I appreciate Alec Such's talents, but of course it's all the songs he was a part of as well....and sadly missed since Hugh McDonald replaced him, two such different performers, not a criticism of Hugh McDonald love the guy!

Thank you, Alec Such,

Rest in peace.

Agreed. His voice stood out on that song.

A true rockstar that was forgotten way too fast after he had been fired in 1994.
He somehow always appeared as the black sheep of the Bon Jovi family. All he ever wanted to do was just play some rock music. The success the band had and the business and the presssure that comes along with it never was his cup of tea.
The guy's as much a legend as he is a myth. Never seen anybody else with his ability to disappear as often as he did for as long as he did (1994-2001, 2001-2018, 2018 onwards).

To me he always was the symbol, the blueprint of a rockstar.
One of the invincible heroes of my youth.
Last year we lost a Rolling Stone. This year we lose one from the brotherhood.

Heaven holds the faithful departed.
Rest in peace, Alec!
