Well, I was around during the time of slippery when wet was being recorded and I know for a fact that Alec didn't play bass on that album at all. It seems that he may not have played on any of the albums. I think the real problem was between Richie and Alec with John stuck in the middle. I really feel like they should have brought him up to speed. I think he felt that his relationship with John would have been stronger to endure what Richie issues with him were.. but it was Alec's fault as well for not seeing that he couldn't cut it and working harder. He was very hurt by the whole thing and felt that his relationships with John would have won out...big mistake.

Also...I'm not looking for any kind of Internet forum pretending to be something that I'm not type of person..the way that I made it to the forum was I did a search for Alec to see what became of him. Years ago I knew people that he knew and talked to him a few times. One particular time we had a conversation and he said the guys where in the studio that night recording the new album which was SWW. I said what are u doing here and he said they have a guy recording his parts. I guess I made a shocked face and his reply was this type of things happens all the time. I think he said something about not liking the studio. I thought it was all weird..but hey who knows ...so after I found out he got the boot from the band and heard some other stories I wasn't surprised. I put together some other conversations that I had remembered from back in the day like when i went to watch the video shoot on seaside boardwalk (pre SWW ) and talking with a few associates of the band that there was tension between Richie and Alec specifically. I wasn't sure about all the resons but there was a questioning about being dedicated ... I remember that they were beginning to shoot the video and Alec had disappeared and they were saying has anyone seen Alec but I think even though it was said in a joking way you could see the tension on Richie's face. So as mentioned in the earlier post I know he didn't play on SWW from his own mouth to my ears.

What an amazing video. It's so great to see them play Bitter Wine live and a lil' bit of Prostitute.

Can anyone tell me which song they are playing at 4:18 and at 4:25? I would really appreciate it.

Ignore that fool, he gets his panties in a twist whenever someone shares something on this board he didn't know before. Which is practically every hour, I reckon.

Thanks for sharing your anecdote though.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

4:18 You Belong To Me - There is a complete bootleg out there somewhere. And there isn't enough of 4:25 for me to make that one out
