Just because I've been ignoring your posts by refusing to respond to them, doesn't mean you have to stir up drama. He obviously doesn't give a shit based on his other responses so stop tying to make something out of nothing.

And just for the record, he hasn't said anything that I haven't heard before. I just have a problem with credibility when random people join with no introduction and post a blurb with nothing to back it. If he he gave us a little background on how he was in that inner circle, I'd probably be more willing to accept it.

I'm not saying I believe this person blindly off the bat but how is tension between Richie and Alec being a huge reason for his ousting something everyone already knows?

I'm not taking sides on this, but if you watch the original Behind the Music from VH-1, Richie did come across as pretty pissed about Alec and having to cover his mistakes. His tone surprised me.

Anyway, anyone knows if Alec sang background vocals on the albums? It's obivous that David sang back vocals up to NJ (?) at least, and even Tico from what I've heard on 7800 Fahrenheit. How is it with Alec? Was his voice good enough to be used in the studio ?
How else would you expect him to be? Just because he hates Bon Jovi now, doesn't mean that he always did. Back in the day, Richie and Jon were one in the same. That includes their work ethics and passion for the band.

The video shoot the poster is referring to was the In And Out Of Love video which was shot in 1985. These guys weren't even famous yet and still in their early 20's. They could have easily got rid of Alec then if he was that bad.

This is why I struggle believing anyone's BS. If the Born To Be My Baby video shoot has any truth to it which I believe it does, Alec is all over that studio. He's in a bunch of shots wearing different outfits doing different things which tells me that it wasn't just a one day prop. It was probably real studio footage mixed over the duration of the recording.

Do I think Hugh was involved with studio work and writing bass lines? Yes! Was it all Hugh and no Alec? I'm not totally convinced.... So when jerk-offs like Seb try to call me out saying that I don't know what I'm talking about, they should think about it twice. I don't have this title for nothing "World’s Most Knowledgeable BON JOVI Fan!!!"

Well. although we love our idols to be from Mount Olympus they actually live lives with people. They grew up with people And live around people. I'm just telling you a bit of inside information. I could sit there and try to prove to you that I know who's involved but I dont care that that much. I'm not a super fan..I just grew up in new jersey and happened to know some of the people involved. I felt bad for him because I couldn't imagine being part of this incredible thing and then to lose it. Like I said I Google his name and your forum came up..believe or don't believe it's up to you but this is information I knew since that period of time.

Also, from what I understand Alec played with John in club bands for years..or for a while and then Richie came on the sense and the playing took another level and Alec wasn't prepared for this. Alec relied that he was friends with John and had paid his dues playing in clubs. Richie was frustrated from the start because now he was writing and writing hard stuff. Now from what I was told Alec had played with Joe Cocker at least for a tour and had some experience playing but not to the level Richie was now writing. See that's funny that u know the name of the video shot at seaside heights. I don't even remember but I was there in the small crowd. And when I say small it was like 50 people...maybe 75...so as far as Alec was concerned he was in and Richie was the new member and couldn't just boot Alec...he didn't have the muscle at that point. On one side John extended himself for Alec getting someone else to do the parts which was nice on the other part it sacked that they let him go.i haven't seen nor hheard about Alec in years. Last I heard he was selling all his bon jovi stuff and going to sale around the world. That was in 2000

Last thought...John is a really nice guy. I remember when a friend J dubs died in like 1997 John went to the wake. J dubs used to play in the local bands at the jersey shore and was a really funny and great guy. But John must of heard he died in the local paper and came and showed his respect...he didn't stay but after hearing things like The Who not going to key members funerals it was surprising to see him there after not seeing him for at least 15 years. So jon hats off to u!!

@mantturah...

As much as I love to hear glory day stories, you're not really giving us any new info. I do believe you however there are a few inconsistencies within your stories probably because you are reflecting back 30 years. I actually remember when they played Great Adventure. I was too young to go but I remember the older kids talking about it like it was Woodstock.

Anyway, the Bon Jovi family tree went in this order.... It obviously started with Jon. Dave played with Jon in other bands prior so he jumped on next. Alec must have joined after that because he brought on Tico and Richie came last. Richie and Tico knew each other from other bands as I'm sure all all the members did.

It's kind of bizarre how Alec showed up at the Giants Stadium show in 2001 and just immediately fell off the map after.
