Neither are Lie to Me, My Guitar, or any other "ballad" on that album. Soft does not mean slower music. The lyrics are deep and dark. If it just means no crunching guitar and metal then fair enough, but New Jersey was already moving away from Bon Jovi going that route.
In terms of content, Bad Medicine is softer than Lie to Me. If you want heavy for the sake of heavy, Bon Jovi was never a band that was going to please you long term.
