Alec was much better for the high backing vocals, listen to an old live track like lay your hands on me or bad name and you will see what I mean. At wembley 95 I could really notice Hughs bad singing!

I can't say. I've never seen Alec live and since you don't know who played what on the BJ-albums since both played on them I can't judge Alec.

really that's the part that irritated me the most on that midget. well many of millions of reason.
he 's the missing Bee Gee.
besides a BASS player should have a deep voice, otherwise it just doesn't fit the picture.

I prefer Hugh since I think he's more experienced and has better skills than Alec ....

I like them both. Because BJ's music has changed Hugh fits it now, but Alec was great in the first 1/2 of their careers.

Both have talent and similar qualities.....

I would have to go with Hugh - I've never seen Alec play. But I do appreciate Alec's input in the early Bon Jovi. Still, for me, Hugh is the bass player of Bon Jovi.

ALEC, of course. Hugh works with other bands, and his wear style, his movement in shows....
Alec, come back!
