You know that's what I thought. I think they are kinda clueless.

I agree with some points this guy makes. But I was left with the impression that he did not really know how to review the record. He even read the interview. And eventually just fell back on standard phrases. No wonder AMG waited 3 weeks before posting their review.

TLFR is certainly not an easy record to review. And I kinda like the fact that this band is able to puzzle the critics. I think it's cool.

And compared with These Days or Keep the faith?

I think Bounce is more Crush: lyrics are not very worked, overproduced songs and no guitar solos

The reviewer said "with the last album". So he was comparing it with Crush. Bon Jovi have hardly made any change in direction before Crush & Bounce.
