Look at some of the Youtube videos from the SWW & New Jersey tours. Richie looks possessed. I'd be really suprised if the rest of the band (particularly Alec) weren't dabbling too. It's part and parcel of these huge tours.

Although he doesnt mention which drugs they used in his book, he definitely states that most of the band indulged from time to time. He said the first time he met Alec that he looked like an old man suffering from over indulgence.

yeah i have no doubt they dabbled from time to time, but like, stoned everyday, completely out of his tree like ally sheedy was making out, i dunno, richie didnt seem the type of guy!! lol

Anyway, it's pretty common knowledge surely that they all took some drugs? They were playing show after show, in the 80's, it's obvious to be honest.

I wouldn't call him a Rock star. He was out to make money from the start, I doubt he even enjoyed performing.

No, it was about the music first. But once he learned how to make money doing it, he continued. And don't forget the women. Gene ****ed and probably ****s anything that moves and doesn't smoke. He's a genuine rock star, much more so than any of the poster boys of todays "rock" bands.
