No prayer. Not ever. Same goes for Living in sin.

Maybe Bed of roses properly but not likely. In MSG it's a disaster, even though Always is pretty good.

My guess would be maybe we'll get a decent Hey God at best.

I think you can tell that at the big events it bothers him he can't hit it; he mimed the first chorus at Live8 in 2005. It sounds like when they opened for the Stones it was another example of that. Let's face it, as an artist it must be frustrating to know you can't properly sing your number one song.

Even during the height of the European Tour, Jon could never sing Living in Sin worth a shit (I was there at Night 2 in MSG, and it was awful), nevermind those incredible screams at the end of the album cut. He can sing certain songs competently again, but others he's going to forever struggle at, at least without some practice. And if you're asking if he could do the screams at the end of LiS again someday... come on...

Living In Sin sung the album way, would be way too hard for Jon now, and honestly I wouldn't want him to attempt it as the results would be painful. (literally for him!)

It's a very tough song, and proof of how awesome Jon's voice was compared to some of his contemporaries around that time.

Manchester last tour was the best I've heard him since the These Days tour, so if he can keep it up for this forthcoming one, I'll be happy.

If you watch this, Jon almost seems to consider going for the long note but ends up whispering it I reckon if we get it this tour he could modify the song so he could sing it well again like he did for always. I would just die with joy if something to believe was sang anyway tho.

Hahaha, Nooo

It would be painful to hear him sing it, though.

This just crossed my mind while I was reading this thread.

I remember there was a "Livin´On A Prayer -mistake version" recorded live sometime in the 00´s. It was probably in Osaka, Japan. I suppose it can still be found on Youtube (sound only). There was some problem with the synchronization of the backing track during the final chorus and the rest of the song wasn´t even recognizable as music.

If there has been a thread on this already, then I apologize. Anyway, does anybody know what caused this disaster, I mean technically speaking? And, of course, I suppose somebody got fired because of that. You have to be a real pro to handle a situation like that live on stage. I wonder how Jon reacted.

I haven't heard the version, but someone clearly fired the sample containing the backing vocals too early/late. It's widely known that they use "tapes" for LOAP, mainly for the backing vocals. If they start at the wrong time for some reason, or Tico's click track doesn't work, the samples will be out of time, making the band sound really bad.
