Well, you nailed it. On another note...I never thought I'd see Jon in a sweater jacket. Geez, let's add a few more years to his age.

It was the same as all the other promo stuff (except Letterman) Business like and a bit boring.

Jon needs to stop wearing that stupid jacket.

it was exactly the same ..but I was happy to be able to watch it live on french cable tv with the guy doing the translation from the show being a french musician and him not making any insulting remark but nice praising words for the guys was a NICE SURPRISE

I was not even going to bother to watch this, today's "in singers" make me cringe overall. Bon Jovi who? Yes, that was the feeling I am getting lately. A great band that the musicians of today are starting to see part legend, part "who cares".

I was just checking during the commercials of the show I was watching, and caught them by pure chance. I saw a very by the book performance, then when they were leaving the stage, Jon's face was like... good it's over... can't wait to leave this joint, (my perception).

Too much promo already? It looks like aside from the die hards, the music industry people, same as the casual concert goers only care about the same songs, so why bother with new ones, (unless they hit the jackpot with another IML, but so far... ), blah!

I thought the same exact thing, he looked like he couldn't wait to get the hell out of there.

Yeah, I caught that, too. I don't blame him. It's not a fun event.

I am watching it through. I want to see Christina Aguilera do her thing. So far, I have to admit Miley was a bit surpringing and the first that actually went over well. Black Eyed Peas are forever the name of a band my high school friend's wife is in, but they were damn good doing it their way. Katie Perry I've largely ignored.....but I cannot get that song Firework out of my head. She really floored me. That was showmanship. Taylor Swift also gave a tasteful performance.

I keep an open mind at these things. I don't care to turn into a cranky old man who goes on about bygone eras. There are plenty of elements that are distasteful to me, the level of peddling their wares left and right as an example. I just don't let it distract from clueing me in to new stuff

In spite of the color by numbers performance, they actually sounded rather good. And it's always fun to watch the crowd at these award shows when they perform. It's as if other celebrities and their peers actually appreciate and respect them. They don't do all this fancy shit like Rhianna or Black Eyed Peas. They just go out and perform.

I liked when they say American rock legends Bon Jovi. I know laugh. What I liked was the crowd reaction because they stood up the whole time, many had smiles on their faces and some rocked out. They were celebrities and regular audience members. I say screw the Grammys. I don't blame Jon for wanting to get out of there. I would too.

So far Rhianna was okay, Miley had vocal trouble, Katy Perry in my opinion cannot sing. Pink was really good. The Black Eyed Peas bored me and the song is annoying.

Entertainment Weekly gave them a B. Taylor Swift actually got an A-.
