Anyone going tonight? I'd like to hear how it goes!

Just got back from an awesome night. The evening began with an intro from Phil Griffen the director which led into the trailer. After he introduced Jon who was very happy to be there and seemed to enjoy himself. The evening consisted of questions by the director and Jon's regular house band. The first song was Jon only, he sang Someday I'll Be Saturday Night. I am not the type of reviewer who can give details down to the nitty grity. Songs included Who Says, Lost Highway, Whole Lotta Leaving, Prayer which was different then I have heard Jon do without the boys. Jon said they were too tired to be there.Wanted was the encore which he dedicated to Richie. We Weren't Born To Follow and the showstopper Hallelujah. Jon was on vocally tonight even though people said the keyboard playing was a distraction. They are not Bon Jovi by any stretch of the imagination but they are competent players in my opinion.

During talk about the new album I forgot what Jon said as he was about to play again somebody yelled out Superman Tonight. After a chorus of requests Jon and Bobby played Superman Tonight even though the others did not know it. It sounded very good. It was the highlight of the night along with Hallelujah for me.

There was a short Q and A, most of the people gushed about their love for the band or how nervous they were.The best question was asked by a member of this very board bjmjpl.The question was about pleasing the average fan and could he elaborate on that. Jon said that he knows and would change things. After a similar question was raised he said. I know, I know I get it no more Bad Name.

Jon admitted that he's a liar. The tour is the biggest tour in a decade. The greatest hits would have been out already, his intention was to only write songs for it and give two to the record company. Born To Follow was the 29th song that was written which was inspired by real life events in the middle east.

It was truly a special night.
