I'm not too sure how they're going to find out whether a person has all of the albums or not. Maybe they could have waited and introduced this system for the box set. Then you know that your average fan isn't going to just walk into a shop and buy a box set just like they might buy a normal CD. Then they know that the people who use it will appreciate it more.
I don't think that it's fair to say that new fans shouldn't receive the AXS stuff. We all had to start somewhere. Bon Jovi are always saying how much they try to bring in new fans.

Then who should? Why is it fair to say that people who have bought the new album should recieve it, but maybe fans who have been following them for 20 years but don't like the album can't have it.

Why should bringing in new fans mean giving them priority over fans who have been with them for many many years

I'd imagine fans who have been following them 20 years would buy the album regardless. And anyway, most people won't know if they don't like it until after they've bought it. Basic equation: Fans bought Bounce, so they get the perks as well

your average, run-of-the-mill fan wouldn't buy a box set. they're about £50 each.

Yes, that's my point. Only the big fans who will really appreciate AXS will be buying the box set. If the band had waited until the box set to use this system then they know that these extra things are going to be appreciated.

But then some people will start bitching that they can't afford the boxset. Whatever they do there will be people complaining.

I think XS is good. As there are already so many Jovi fans that when the guys were playing it was useless even attempting to log onto a site to see their performance , interview etc. At least this way BJ have a way of making sure they reach their dedicated fans via XS.

Its not like the Bounce album is expensive to buy to be able to access XS. I think its well worth the money the shows we have got so far.
