It's kinda hard to respect someone who writes in caps and whose grammar is awful ("what a hell" - eh). I haven't heard Bounce yet but it seems a lot more rock than Crush, which is a good thing.

But then again, I do agree with some points. I'd love another great "old-school" ballad and I'd love another LOAP (no, It's My Life doesn't count). Ah well, I have lots of other 80s bands to listen to, so Bon Jovi can keep rocking the way they want. Still the number one band in the world.

I think, in hindsight, that Crush was tad disappointing overall.

But that's only because of the absolute brilliance of Bounce.

As a long-time fan since SWW, I truly believe Bounce to be the best record BJ have done since KTF - that's a decade!!

no doubt, AC/DC was great, but i think their time is long over. most of their stuff really does sound all the same now.
isn't the thing that most long time fans love about bon jovi that we've changed and mutured along with them. everytime a new album comes out from them i find myself relating to something new they're talking about, something i wouldn't have related to even 5 years earlier.

i personally thank bon jovi for this, which is why after 20 years i'm still as big a fan as i ever was! AND THEY CAN STILL ROCK WITH THE BEST OF 'EM!

This isn't the '80's. It would be slightly foolish of Bon Jovi to write songs that belong in that era and release them now. Their songs fit the mindset and timeframe that the band is currently in. And I don't hear an absence of rock n' roll on Bounce. I think it rocks harder than Crush did.

I think the song that most closely resembles any older stuff would be "Right Side Of Wrong". It's very "Young Guns" sounding to me. The melodic structure is incredible, and very much in camparison to the music on the "Blaze" album.

The only song on the album that I don't particularily care for is "Joey". It's kind of boring to me. Not a bad song, but I can't get into it.

First of all : MUSIC IS TIMELESS!!!! It doesn't matter when a song was recorded! There aren't "80ies songs" and "90ies songs". There are only GOOD or BAD songs.
I like every BJ record from the 80ies more then KTF because I think they are the better records. If "Mystery Train" was written and released on SWW I wouldn't like though.
I don't care if the lyrics are more meaningfull now then in the 80ies(IMO they aren't). What is the value of a "lyracly ballad" if it doesn't rock?
I was vary vary disappointed when CRUSH came out. I haven't BOUNCE yet so I can't say anything about it. What I can say that I really like the stuff from the new singles even I don't like some of the lyrics. The only exeption is "Lucky". This is the most bad(I don't know,is this grammar right??? ) BJ song ever! Such a f*****' bad "come on people let's have good mood" song. I really hate it. But thats the point I'm complaining about. I really look forward the Bounce.
