I wonder if it didn't make the album because of the "Rise Up" part and the consistently annoying comparisons to Bruce Springsteen. With his new album called The Rising, it would just be too easy for the press to take shots at them ripping off Bruce, never mind the fact that the songs were probably written around the same time period. It probably didn't have any real effect on their decisions, but at least that's one less Bruce comparison we'll have to put up with.
