I like the cover.

I have tattoos of HAND, Keep The Faith and Heart & Dagger, none are my favorite albums, though.

Crush - I didn't like These Days - too many ballads. So when Crush came out it was a return to rock. Probably one of their best.
One Wild Night - the 'live' album. Best forgotten to be honest.
Bounce - Most of it is good and I like the heavier songs. Sadly Bon Jovi didn't get heavier than this. The ballads are very weak. But there are some really classic songs. Joey is timeless classic.
This Left Feels Right - Not everyone's cup of tea, but it's different and a good chill out album.
Have A Nice Day - Pretty good. It's angry and punchy. A bit punk too.
Lost Highway - The upbeat songs are fun (though a bit cheesy but mean to be), the ballads are really emotive.
The Circle - It grew on me. The keyboards make this a darker sounding record.
Greatest Hits (refering to the 5 songs recorded) - This Is Our House is classic Bon Jovi, sadly its not on the physcially album but a itunes bonus track. 'Why Do You Got?' grew on me. No Apologies - hmmm. The More Things Change - sort of meant to be cheesy. This Is Life This Is Love - zzz.
Richie Sambora - Aftermath of the Lowdown - better than any Bon Jovi album since Crush.
What About Now - awful. Awful lyrics, lack of rock, too much synthezing and pretty evident that all the other members of Bon Jovi were barely around. I've heard Tico wasn't used much, Richie came in very late in the production (I never had the impression he was happy with it) and David - well, I'm pretty sure the keyboards were the result of John Shank's little box of tricks. Worst of all, Jon's voice is put through the electronic vocal pitcher and the actually quality of sound is very muffled. It sounds like it a low quality MP3.

You can take the liberty of cleaning that up.

But I truly believe it. Slippery obviously has the massive 3 (Prayer, Bad Name, and Wanted) plus a couple other great tracks, but the rest is just good at best. I've never really gotten too much into Never Say Goodbye, I'd Die For You, Let it Rock, Without Love, or Social Disease. That's half of the album. It's just not as complete.

Conversely, Crush is much more complete to me. I really really enjoy every song on the album except She's a Mystery. It is a much better album as a whole, to me. Slippery has greater highs, but lacks the consistency that Crush has. So Crush edges out Slippery, but just barely.

It also depends on the song. There's many post-2000 songs that I would rank higher than many pre-2000 songs.
This
Though I really like WAN

I donīt like the newer albums. I love them.

Bounce and The Circle are the great ones.

Crush and HAND have perfect 1st singles like It My Life and the self titled. Only 1 or 2 fillers on each album.

LH and WAN are my least favorites post ī00 albums, although I enjoy a lot of tracks of them.

Of course I prefer the 80īs or 90īs stuff, but I really dig all the music they made since It`s My Life

Cleaned

Hey, we each have our own opinions. No such thing as being wrong. I was always mixed on Crush. Obviously, It's My Life is one of the greatest tracks in history (though the single remix is better). First half of the record works for me, but there are a couple songs I really can't stand - Save The World, She's A Mystery, Mystery Train, I Got The Girl. Now, if they had exchanged 2 of those for I Could Make A Living Out Of Loving You and Neurotica, different story.

Slippery was also my real introduction to the band.

No album will ever top New Jersey for me. That's their masterpiece (for me.)

I'll also go as far to say as, as much some of the post 200 stuff is lame, I still love every album they've released, and I do obviously bitch a lot about the band. But in all seriousness, there are more songs on each record that I like than dislike. Any time that's the case, how can you complain?

And that is exactly how I feel and have always felt. There's not an album I don't enjoy when I listen to it. The test is more in how much I listen to it to whether it's better than just a good record.

That's just because you and I are old farts and we've mellowed over the years.
