Maybe not far from the truth bro. When I was in my early twenties I wouldn't listen to anything that didn't rock. Nowadays I can go from listening to Marilyn Manson one moment to Lana Del Rey the next.

But at least I've never bought an Adele album. lol

I like Crush and HAND a good deal. The other albums are just okay with a song here or there that is pretty great (Undivide, BPL, MAM, H2O, etc). There hasn't been an album since These Days that would have turned me into a die hard... fan maybe, but not die hard.

If you saw my ipod, you'd think I had about 75 different personalities.

Same, though I'm sure a lot of people here are like that.

I know it's where the sound changed and etc, but I find it odd that Crush is still called a newer Bon Jovi album when it's one year shy of being as old as Slippery was when Crush came out.

I've been a fan for 21 years now (Wow, that's a long time), discovered the band when "Keep The Faith" came out.
I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE the "old" stuff (Up to KTF), but to be honest with you, over the past several years (give or take) 99% of the time when I listen to Bon Jovi, I'll be listening to the newer stuff or various demos, outtakes and such.
I'll take spinning "Bounce" or "Lost Highway" or "Crush" pretty much any day over the "Slippery" or "New Jersey".
Don't know if it's cause most of the old stuff is overplayed to death in my ears, or because the more time passes the more I dislike that bombastic hollow 80's sound or what, but that's just the way it is. I also feel like I connect better with the post 2000 stuff on an emotional level.
That being said "These Days" is their greatest achievement and will always be the best Bon Jovi album top to bottom.

The Circle and Lost Highway. I'm pretty sure the Circle will be the last time we get a good effort from Bon Jovi. And even though there's some duds on it and it didn't age well for a lot of you I still think it was the right idea, and it's really Jon's voice that holds it back. WWWB, Bullet, TIMS, BPL, LTOR, HN, and I suppose ST as well are all good or better tracks to me.

Despite being a morally bankrupt proposition (WHO SAYS WAS A HIT? ITS TIME FOR A COUNTRY ALBUM ), I look back at LH pretty fondly. LH the song is one of the only latter-day IML clones that has aged well for me, and MM was a respectable idea. If the lyrics in TWASA weren't so lame, and they got rid of the duet I think we'd all consider that one of the better love songs they've done in recent times. Any Other Day is still great. But I personally have always loved WLOL, think it's by far the best and most authentic song on the album (in terms of that country vibe; I get the sense that the song actually relies on country instrumentation to work, which leads me to believe Jon and co. put some thought into it, rather than just pasting in some stock mandolins into the opening and calling it a day, like they did with every other track on the album). I know everyone else here cringes when it comes up in a setlist, and certainly to have it back-to-back with LH does no one any favors. But I'll gladly listen to it live anytime (and yes I understand it doesn't sound great live. But what does anymore?).

Granted I'm ignoring the duds on both albums: WGIGO, Summertime, Snooze Next to you... WWBTF, Live Before You Die, FAST CAWS!!!! etc.... But still, compared to the rest of post-95, I'll take what I can get.

And for whatever it's worth, WAN is my least favorite Jovi release. By far. I dislike every aspect of it. The songs sound bland and stripped down to the point where it sounds like they could belong to any artist. There is nothing outstanding in terms of musicianship in any song. And Jon's voice has never sounded so awful, nor held the band so far back.

i think HAND is their worst album.
After the first two songs its just crap until the bonus tracks.

I do really like the post 00's albums. None of them are "classics" in the vein of Slippery or KTF but for the most part they are decent modern rock albums.

Crush is the weakest for me. There are a handful of strong moments; IML and 100 years for example, but its all very much run of the mill, forgettable pop in my opinion.

HAND is probably my favourite (despite the fact it spawned Who Says and indirectly Lost Highway). Great title track, a some really decent rock numbers on there.

The problem is all the post 00's albums have too much filler which taints them. I find I only ever end up listening to between 2 - 4 tracks once the album has been listened to a few times. The rest of the songs fall by the waste side which isnt really good enough for a band that have been around as long as BJ have.
