I don't personally care for autographed CD's or whatever, but the argument that we can't possibly believe that rockstar JBJ would sign hundreds or thousands of these is weak.

Either do it or don't. If you do it, you need like 5 minutes to sign 100 of those. So, hour for 1000. If you take an hour every day for 5 days, you have 5000. If you make 2 hours of day's work, its 10k.

My take is, if you do it, it's labor intensive for a couple of days, sure. If you don't feel like it, don't do it, no harms done. But if you fake it (or record company fakes it) and you get discovered, then it's very bad cause it's fraud, no matter the gravity.

There are literally companies out there who verify signatures, and they can tell fakes from genuine ones easily.

When you start to deceive your fan base on things that they are spending their hard earned cash on then it's game over. Out of everyone they are the people that you need to look after. Taylor Swift knows and understands this. If she can personally sign things, then so can Jon Bon Jovi for heaven's sake...
I don't disagree with you, you are obviously correct. I suppose I am just expressing surprise that anyone is surprised by this. If it is true, which I assume it is.

This.

Don't promote something and not do it.

I remember a few years ago, Robbie Williams was signing his Xmas album that was sold on his site and every night, he'd go on Instagram live to pass the time of doing it and answer fans questions whilst signing them all. He signed thousands of them.

There's no reason Jon couldn't do it. Sorry, but there isn't.

He can do it, I just don't think he would do it, Jon being Jon. It's obviously fraud, and he should pay the price for it (if true). It just blows my mind that people spend money on these types of things.

It's like people who paid for that Backstage with JBJ shite and then were surprised when all they got was a JBJ apron.

I'm probably going to sound like a dick, and I'm not intending too towards you, but they/we pay for it because we expect it to be honest and signed, like advertised. As I said, I saw Robbie Williams do it (expect to get some stick for this) and that made me get one. I'd expect Jon to do it but hey ho.

You don't sound like a dick at all, and I get I am the one in the wrong here.

JBJ advertised a hand-signed album and people paid money for it. If Jon didn't hand sign them, he is 100% in the wrong, people have been duped out of their money, and the people deserve to be reimbursed etc.

I am not defending JBJ one iota. I am, however, surprise that anyone remotely familiar with this band, and with Jon in particular, can be in anyway surprised by this.

Remember the whole "pay $10,000 to go on a cruise with Jon Bon Jovi" and Jon is on and off the boat in an hour. This is what this guy does. He's very unscrupulous.

Between this and the comments regarding Richie (plus "I sounded great") it seems that Jon has found a new way to rest his vocal chords: Talk out of his ass to go easy on the diaphragm.

I ordered a signed CD. Shipping date keeps moving, from release day to now, June 21.

Maybe Jon realized the backlash and now signing. Lol
