Some quite good points on both sides here, and I personally wouldn't taken the original Bon Jovi over Bounce any day up until 2011. For me no one could match Bon Jovi on a good day even then, I was on such a high after Mannheim for two weeks.
But to say that, on a musical level, they can't hold a candle to 2018 Bon Jovi, is actually almost an insult. And that's not about trashing the current line-up or being disrespectful to Tico or David. Both sound like cover bands, with the difference of one of them being ridiculously expensive.
About people not liking songs being matched with an orchestra, I get that, each to their own. However, I'm curious to see the reactions of those one day when Jon really let's Dave make a Bon Jovi musical on Broadway
