Not that I know of.

I don't think it's ever been completely confirmed. For some reason in my itunes I set it at 1992 years ago so I don't know what I was smoking that night. I'm more than positive Bobby is playing on it and not Richie.

I should check the box set liner notes to see who produced it, that might help?

It always had a sort of These Days vibe to me, but I'm also quite positiv that it's Bobby playing and doing backing vocals. So I assume it was somewhere in the early batch of solo songs Jon wrote, but it got dropped since it was too close stylistically to what they did with These Days and too far off the Brit-Pop-influenced sound he wanted to pursue on Destination Anywhere.

In what quality was it released? 128kbit/s mp3 or higher? I think I'd wanna give it a shot at remastering, but I don't wanna go for it with an even lower quality version of what was originally around. Maybe someone still has the original file (that was far before my fan years started )

It was released in 128kb/s. Several people asked for FLAC files and Obie said it wasn't nessessary and people should be happy with what they got instead of complaining over a minor quality issue. It was availalbe in 128 "so everyone all around the world could download it as not every country had quality internet". This was at a time when people had started downloading complete computergames and DVD's.

Salaam Aleikum,

Don't know if I agree. I think it falls pretty close to some of D.A.'s darker stuff. It's Just Me, Little City etc. I just can't tell if it's before or after it.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
Thanks for clearing it up!
So it was business as usual - Bon Jovi being a few years behind the technical development

I'm doing a Zoom Happy Hour with about 10 buddies. Sports guy who know nothing about Bon Jovi. They grew up with him but couldn't name a song past Always. We'll maybe It's My Life and Who Says... Anyway...

They know I'm a fan and within 5 minutes I get this:

"Hey, let me ask you a question. I watched that NJ music thing last week. What is going on with Bon Jovi? Is he really that old or is it that he just doesn't give a ****? He's not that much older than us. He shouldn't look that. Springsteen is 70 and looks better than him".

Talk about irony. As a fan, you get your balls busted your entire life for the dude being a pretty boy and now you get them busted for the dude looking like shit.
