That rumour almost always comes from here since a certain user is great at assuming everything vague means the band could be putting out an EP, a box set, special bonus editions or whatever
If we've learned one thing by now, it's:
- Jon doesn't really care about these things
- the label ain't interested in putting a lot money and effort into promoting something aimed at an ever-decreasing fan base that's not gonna make big chunks of profit
- the archives (as seen with live bonus tracks and the Box Set) aren't well documented anyway
- Obie likes hospitals, so anything (live or studio) would be mixed as sterile as it can be anyway
- they've been wasting opportunities left, right and centre for over a decade and that's highly unlikely to change anymore

Sad but one of the most truthful posts this board has ever seen.

How many more finished songs do we actually think there are, I doubt that there is a huge amount, and would Jon waste them on giveaways when he can wait for another box set or burning bridges. And, wouldn't he just re-record Richie's parts with Shanks like he did for Burning Bridges. Of course he would...

Regadless of who owns the publishing to the Richie co-writes, someone does and it isn't Jon....

It's tough to say how many songs he did that for though. Based on the time periods it was most likely only Saturday Night....

But it's all pretty moot, anything related to unreleased songs kicking around will have zip to do with the 7800 time period.

Yep, he won't give them away in those JBJ experiences for sure and maybe we only find about them after his death.

Regarding to the publishing rights, it's only a matter of paying the equal share they own. Like every other co-written song by the band. Of course they had a Co-Writer Agreement and Jon has the control of it.

Take Saturday Night Gave Me Monday Mornings for instance. Richie was a co writer, Jon released after he's gone and replaced his guitar work for not paying Richie as a performer, known as sound recording copyright. Richie still had the royalties as a writer.

I have no idea how a die hard fan of the band still thinks that Richie, Alec or any other member would have any control over the band's material. Jon is a control freak.

I don't think people are saying it won't come out because Richie and Alec have control, that'd be incredibly naive. Its more so the amount of royalties the releases would bring is so low, is it worth it to make even less cutting other people into the small amount of money.

Ok, nowhere was Jon hinting on putting demos, etc in this.

TBH compared to the Fan Club and how it used to be, he is offering way more with this model. 200 bucks for actual, physical stuff plus videos, etc.
Imagine he had put out music / demos, etc for 200 bucks a year, that would be way worse wouldn't it?

So during Covid, he gave an acoustic concert for free and is rebranding his fan club with actually adding some value to it.

Yeah, now there's a new guy in The White House

Will this be the end of Bon Jovi-free zones in Buffalo?
