Just listened to HAND from start to finish a couple of days ago.
Is the person Jon describes in Wildflower the same mysterious one from She's A Mystery? The metaphorical references lead to similar character traits.

I always assumed that both persons were his wife. I could have been wrong however..

She’s A Mystery was written by Jon at a songwriter’s retreat on an old castle in the south of France and he once said that it actually wasn't meant to appear anywhere but he thought it was too good to be left in the notebook.

That doesn't mean you're wrong. But the first intention was different.
And it didn't appear on the Sex Sells demo listening party in 1998.
