Absolutely, man. Modern pop is basically verse, chorus, repeat. No adding instruments slowly for a crescendo anymore in most cases. you rarely hear specials. Songs are 2mins long. Most lyrics are a cringy self-celebration mess. Brave artists who swing for the fences and question our present and future are kept in the mud. The whole concept of music=art is disappearing in broad daylight and in our minds. Bah!...
Let's end on a positive note - Happy Christmas y'all!

I seen one "Fingerprints" performance of 2015 by Jon and he said before he started the song at 7:23 that the song was written probably for The Circle...

Till today i've always classified this song as WAN outtake, but the video is from 2015 and i think in that period he could remind well at least if one song it was written for WAN or not, instead he has vague memories about it.

What do you think, The Circle outtake?

In 2004 he thought Why Aren't You Dead was from Crush, 4 years prior instead of the correct 13 years gap. But the amount of songs written, recorded, scrapped and started again, they all probably blend together.

I never took Fingerprints for WAN, 2009ish sounds pretty accurate.

This one song “Want What I Want” by another band “Soraia”, it was written with Jon, i only noticed now idk if this thing it was already said here.

Beyond that song, others 4 songs were co-written with Jon for their 2013 album “In The Valley Of Love And Guns” according some articles.

AFAIK Obie produced the album and Jon co-wrote a bunch of songs for it.

With all love AND hate for the song, I'm actually wondering, why Cpt. Crash was never used or at least tried out as an concert opener. I mean, the guitar intro makes it a perfect fit to start a show. It is very similiar to Blood On Blood which opened the show quite a few times. And actually I don't think it would have been a complete lead ballon. So with all the love Jon showed for that song, I'm really wondering he never tried it out.

Just realized that Shanks joined the ship in 2004, so Bon Jovi has been 21 years without him and 21 years with him this year
