Isn't that sad? SO many years together and still nothing has changed...

But that's not true, David's role in the band is far bigger than Phil's is. If you're going with title of bandmember, sure, but to say the only that differs is the paycheck, no way.

In that case Kiss is only a two-piece band because Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer are only hired hands and neither original members or part of the Kiss contract.

If you're insinuating that things have changed the way Jon viewed Huge when Alec left, I think you're 100% wrong...

I might have put that wrong. Contractually that's pretty much what differs them. Then of course Phils role and importance can't even be compared to Davids in any way. Obivously David has done so much more for Bon Jovi. But in a restaurant kitchen the head chef whose been there for 10 years are naturally more important than the kitchen assistant whose been the for six months. But at the end of the day both them are just employees to the restaurant owner.

I'm not saying I like it or even has an opinion about it. I'm just trying to break it down to the truth as Bon Jovi is very much a corporation with paid musicans. I'm not trying to value members importance here, because that is pretty obvious whose done more for the band.

And it boils down to the fact Richie as far more important than anyone in the band... and whose leaving impacted Jon in a way no one would have predicted.

I think it’s kinda like the way Doc put it when it was the Hall thing “Johnny with the band and all the other guys in the band”
And about the Alec thing... I don’t know, I personally would never forget a person who helped me, like when Alec said “of course” to him and introduced him to Richie and then to Tico. They plus David helped him... and remember at that time, there was no money!

I see this as the total opposite....

I think most people thought it was going to be much worse... Sure, a key elements of the band is missing so things are going to be a little less of what they once were but I think overall, Jon didn't skip a beat...

This is not as bad as Slash leaving GNR.

- Jon's still headlining areas and stadiums when everyone said, he was done.

- Jon's playing Europe when everyone said never.

- Bon Jovi the band are still making new music.

Sure, I do miss Richie vocally... And I do miss his presence on stage from time to time. (It's not like I dwell the entire time over it)...

I don't blame Jon's current vocal state on Richie leaving... I think it's much bigger than that...

As long as Shanks is in the picture, the new music and songs would be the same regardless.

So yeah, of course he's going to be missed and certain fans will vary on that level but overall, I see the band carrying on as normal... And some of the subtle changes aren't necessarily a direct result of Richie's departure either... There are other elements impacting changes as well...

Yeah, JBJ is doing just fine... that THINFS "book" finish with JBJ saying: "This is the next chapter, it’s not the last chapter... Those who came before us are as welcome as those who are here now. Everyone is a part of this legacy. Richie and Alec are part of our history, but that was then. This is now."

What else is he supposed to say? If you want to move forward you have to accept the past and focus on the future. Good for him that he is able to talk about Richie leaving like that.

I used to have my own issues with disloyal people and I am always between still being angry, accepting it and not giving a ****. It is part of who I am now and if Jon can make peace with it then I'd say: good for him!
