Obie had sex with a 15 year old girl while the band was on tour during the One Wild Night Tour. Jon tried to bail him out by pleading to a judge saying he was needed to do sound engineering things for a webcast on the Bounce tour. It's never been clear as to whether he served but the girl never spoke up either so the thing was obviously settled and paid off.
The Bon Jovi camp tried very hard (and succeeded) to pretend this didn't happen and the media didn't really care. Obie's excuse? He didn't know she was 15, she said she was older.
