He's looked younger for most of his 40's, yes, but my parents and their friends are all pretty much Jon's age and nowadays he looks much more like my old uncle and his 70+ year old friends. So his 30-years-in-10 aging process is what throws people off, especially those who haven't really seen him in about a decade.

It has because he's always looked so much younger than he was. Now, in his face, just just looks like any other 58 year old to me. Take off the hair and he really doesn't look that bad. Like you say, people are just saying so because it's the first time they have seen him since his ageing...
He doesn't look anywhere near 70 plus, that's just ridiculous...
