They've basically been telling us for the past month that it's Richie's thing, if ever we would all want to find out it would have to come from Richie himself. This somehow makes me a bit reassured because it at least signifies that they are in good terms and have some mutual respect.

Hmmm, given Jon's body-language... I do think he was sincere. So I don't think he's stating "still a member of the band" in the Alec John Such-sense.

We can start to get worried if he doesn't return for Europe. Until then, I'll just accept that it's a personal matter that we don't need to know about or will be left up to Richie to talk about when he returns.

Phew, at least they didn't let Bobby do any solos on national television.

That 'What about now' was a bit of a snoozefest - almost zero energy. Just made me think of the other thread where someone mentioned the TV performance of 'Good Guys..' at that awards show. The energy there made me fall of my seat, as I guess I am too used to to watching the tame plodding versions of their recent tunes on televised performances.

Alec and Richie are two different animals.

Richie is part songwriter, Jon's second voice, a brilliant guitar player, and a star himself.

Richie is in rehab and will be out in July. I don't know what the big secrete is all about.
