Personally I see the song Keep The Faith more as keeping the faith in music and life, not in any religious way. Also I see Hey God as more of a poke as society and politics than any religious thing.
Everyone has different interpretations.

thats very interesting Mr Anderson, I thought that most people percieve KTF as keeping the faith of music, BJ , life, they seem to not notice the word Lord in there !
Hey God depending in does seem to be quite dark at times, as if he is questioning if God is hearing the world. I think depending on what mood someone is on can also have an efect to how we percieve a song.
