That's what I was thinking as well. But instead of making a fool of Ice he merely made a fool of himself for not understanding what Ice said.
You mean... like you did in the Fincher thread?

what if someone who says they're actually good at something does it because they are?

just a crazy idea I'm going to throw out there.

That is unthinkable to some, unless it ain't themselves.

by their logic. a guy who drinks in my work telling me how he's really into his cooking and makes great stuff would actually set himself on fire if he came near a cooker.

I started to play the guitar about a year ago, Jovi being my main influence.

You just answered your own question.

Take a count Jim. How many guitarists are there in the world? I mean guitarists, not people who strum on acoustics in their bedroom. And you're saying your better than 90% of them? Placing you in the same category with Eddie Van Halen, Richie, Clapton etc? You believe what you want, but I don't think you're anywhere near that good.

i answered my own question how exactly?

this guy is a great cook, he says he's a great cook becaus ehe;'s proud of being a great cook. but somehow he isn't actually a great cook he couldn't even make a big mac if ronald mcdonald was going to set him on fire if he failed?...

interesting theory.

if you can play a coupla chords, you can play guitar. that's my take on it. your's is different. you're not claiming a subjective theory as fact are you?

Record something and upload it for us Jim. I've got no idea how good you are at playing, personally I am one of those who can play a few chords on an acoustic guitar in my bedroom so wouldn't bother recording anything, but I'd like to hear you play something. I'm not saying I don't believe that you are any good, but Ice is right, and it's obvious to most here that you do have a rather large ego.

No offense, but you must know this yourself.

yeah i have an ego. everyone does but I know what I'm good at and music is one of them so why not be proud of the fact?

i can't draw or do the stuff you can do on computers for shit so i don't claim to be able to.

I don't really care wether anyone believes me or not. I've got an A in advanced higher guitar which with regards to grades is grade 8. the highest.

ice. 1 out of 10 guitarists cannot play like eddie or eric

maybe one out of 100 if you're lucky. the 1% i mentioned.

1 out of ten can play to my level IMO.

looking at it from that point of view. i dont think that's a particularly ego tistical approach to it cause I would say about 1 out of every ten guitarists ive came across are as good.
