Why waste my time writing out an extensive comment on a load of complete bullshit? It's obvious that article was written by some disgruntled Richie fan who is jealous as hell of Jon's accomplishments and resents that Richie hasn't achieved the same level of success and fame outside the band. Things like this are ridiculous because they perpetuate the idea of a fued between Jon and Richie. The only fued is between Richie FANS and Jon FANS. Jon and Richie love each other dearly and that is quite evident to anyone who can see or hear. It's silly to write things putting them at odds with one another when they work out and work past their problems themselves.

here i partially agree. but i think that it his his fault because as far as i'm concerned he's selfish and he wants to get all the credit himself. i don't think he gives the other band members much freedom.

no, that's not true. of course his voice doesn't sound as it did in the past but he still can sing very well. after all richie's voice has never been better than jon's- not even now.

come on! give me a break here! even if those interviews are true i prefer him this way than being all good and sweet. at least he's being honest. (i, too, believe that some (mainly female) jovi fans are stupid :P )

first of all it's his life and he can do whatever he wants with it. and secondly you're not like those girls who believe that jon is a saint just because he's their idol, are you? the funny thing is when someone even mentions something "bad" jon did they get mad because you burst their bubble they were living into. he's a human and he has the right to act like one. moreover he's a rockstar!

Why is this guy's article complete bullshit?

1. He can't get his facts straight. Jon never auditioned for Footloose. RS has not written ANY song on a BJ album by himself, nor has Holly Knight. David didn't originally write In These Arms. The song is a hybrid.
This person was not privy to the songwriting sessions and he's making unbased presumptions based on what he wants to say. We only know what goes on with songwriting so far as the band tells us.

2. Skid Row: Richie also earned money from Skid Row's album and if Jon and Richie truly wrote those songs as is speculated, they deserve it. They had publishing rights which a songwriter has. According to Snake Sabo, Richie did NOT give back the money.

3. He can't take a JOKE. Anyone who has that interview with Jon from 1990 could tell you he was laughing and flirting with Julie Brown the entire time for the sake of a gag. Some of his other quotes are questionable because he hasn't given sources. I could say that Jon once said "I'm really an alien sent here to take over the earth" but I couldn't back it with anything that other fans could track down.

4. Fan club: That history has been posted several times. Jon's mother renamed the club for legitimate reasons and if you wanted to point fingers, they'd be aimed at Richie and Mrs. B. for their tensions. He promised her an interview and then backed out of it. She puts up with crap from no one.

It appears the only way he can find to build up Richie and the other band members is to tear Jon down. If he wanted to write an effective article about how great the other guys are, he would focus on THEM and not on Jon.
