I was all happy until I got to this part:

Reflecting on this vein of universalism that has been pegged to his band in recent years Bon Jovi told USA's Metro, "It was the same with 'Keep the Faith,' which came right after the wall came down in Berlin. I had no idea it would be taken as a statement about East meets West in Germany and the fall of the Soviet Union. When I wrote it, those things hadn't even happened yet, but when it came out--well, the repercussions were huge, 10 million people thought that's what it was about. ..."

I don't even know where to begin. If anything, this is exactly why Jon comes off as immensly full of himself. I have no idea where he got that idea from that KTF was perceived as a statement of East meets West in Germany, other than some pathetic German version of backstage.com.
Regarding the 'It's My Life' analogy, I swear it was his deliberate interpretation of Sinatras song. Yeah right, he had no idea....
