Default Article pertaining to Bon Jovi and touring on the whole...

Found this (i.e. googled 'Bon Jovi'). If it's been post in another thread, oops. I agree with pretty much everything written here.

Thoughts?

I read this at work today and thought they guy was pretty shortsighted and contradicted himself--for instance, let the people know what to expect in one sentence and make sure there are surprises in the next. I fully believe going on with the shows as scheduled was the right move, but there's no point in rehashing that debate in yet another thread.

I agree with the man.

BTW, points 1 and 2 could have been written specifically about the current John Mellencamp tour. However, the format and the fact that he'd be doing new material were made clear, and people are still bitchin' and moanin'.

He's just written common sense.

I know there's people who don't care if Richie plays or not, but even if 1% want a refund they should get it.

I'd love to see how many people would take refunds if they were offered. Maybe Jon's afraid Richie is a bigger draw than he thinks he is.

Maybe there's enough who have already asked at Nassau Coliseum... or maybe it's just a precaution. Have fun speculating kids!

Interesting... they wrote "no" in caps, like they were shouting it after being asked for refunds so many times.

Maybe

Just for the record, I *care* if Richie plays. I'd rather he was there than any stand in. But I still think the best decision was for the show to go on without him.

I like what you said .... I also think refund should have been part of the picture ... to make it like richie or not it's still bon jovi is like saying tribute band or bon jovi it's the same ...at the HRC in 2006 when jon played with the tribute band I don't think I saw bon jovi perform even with JBJ sharing the vocals... not one nano second

I will go to the shows and won't ask for a refund because all in all it's a bon jovi band situation that I want to witness. But the attitude toward the fans and what they pay for is rude .. to perform without richie is NOT respecting the fans .... if we had the choice to get a refund or not that would be the only way to show the fans some respect and show the money they spent on those tickets is not belittled

Couldn't agree more. At least the fanclub should be so customer-friendly and should give the people who want to a refund. In the USA there aren't probably many people, I just read one or two posts of people who won't go in the USA, so a refund wouldn't get the fanclub into broke.

Someone on the BS-board bought an expensive package for one show in USA and he even wasn't allowed to sell it to someone else. Let alone to give it back.

Still hope that Richie will be back in Europe. I guess in Europe there are more people who would want a refund. Richie has a quite big fan base here. Way bigger than in the US.

My guess is the Fc doesn't have control of the money ever for tickets, it goes to the same pot all other ticket sales go. All they would ever have is whatever FC fees were charged. It's also a pretty safe bet the FC can't just decide to refund tickets, my guess is AEG, Ticketmaster etc... would have to make that decision.
