Jon's voice is not going to be as good as the early days, it has gone through the mill a bit !! But least his still out there which is more then some bands from that era...

Is smoking what Jon calls now looking after his voice

I read the 1st paragraph and thought the article sucked! Look, I'll be the first to admit Jon isn't what he was 10 years ago, but he's better than what this guy is making out!

So what was the point of the author writing this article? They don't like Jon? Yeah, that comes through loud and clear. So what? I can't believe I just wasted 2 minutes of my life reading that trash.

think the article is exaggerated and some thinks not true, don`'t think jon ever said that about his fans, he`s not that stupid even if he thought that way he`s to professional to say that. (or maby he was just realllllllly drunk??)

True that starting to smoke in that age is just stupid, he can`t sing the high notes anymore and get`s trouble with his voice even on shorter tours. But he still can sing great otherwise we wouldn`t love to watch Bon Jovi live as often as we can. That guy might be jalous cause noone cares about him.

Well it made me laugh. Its amazing how someone who has such a low opinionof Jon knows so much about him amd Bon Jovi. Its kinda pathetic really that the only real dirt he can come up with is a band member being sacked. One change of member in 20 years is pretty good compared to most bands

I agree theyve probably disected an interview to make it come accross this way. Ive read 100's of interviews and never heard them slagging off the fans.

Well, I read the article to amuse myself and I did. I felt no emotion when I was done, it didn't phase me. I guess I learned long ago that non-Jovi fans are extremely hard on Bon Jovi and I pass it off as pure jealousy! It's always a MAN critizing the band, which comes as no suprise to me. The men who write these articles can only dream of having thousands and thousands and thousands of beautiful women crying at just the site of them, following them around the country show after show, etc. Crap like this does not alter my loyality to Bon Jovi. Opinions are like a s s h o l e s - everybody's got one!

This guy just isn't a good journalist. Why? Because his articles are so bias it's NOT EVEN FUNNY. He has a strange obsession with Richie and a curiously strong dislike for Jon. I mean, it's good for editorials but regular journalism isn't supposed to be so bias.

For one thing, he totally takes Jon's quotes out of contest. THAT is not cool :P The part about Say It Isn't So and TYFLM becoming big hits- I think he made that up. If a reporter asked Jon how he thought the singles would do, it must have been before they were released. A couple months later, after it's safe to say that both singles bombed (actually, TYFLM didn't do *that* bad...), there's no way the same reporter would ask Jon again and Jon would remember what he said the first time. You know? It's complete BS.

But I guess the bias makes it even funnier to read.

Jon does have a zealous need to make the band squeaky clean, all well and good, but I think it's gone too far. Sacking Ross Halfin wasn't a smart move either. It's also fairly beyond doubt that Jon writes better with a partner. I disagree with the writer, as I don't think that means Jon is a bad writer, just that when he has someone to exchange ideas with, his output is much stronger.

Oh, and finally, Jon's voice has suffered over the years, and isn't as good as it was...that's true. And he IS a **** for taking up smoking at 37....not cool, not stylish...just dumb.
Erm dry county always fear right side of wrong all wrote on his own and all fantastic!.

Bed of Roses, Dry County, Living in Sin, I Believe... Jon can write such impressive songs on his own. What about Something to Believe In which is the most thought-provoking Bon Jovi song ever! Jon should def. write more on his own.

Not sure what your point is or why you quoted me here? I didn't say that Jon couldn't write good songs on his own - re-read what I said. I just made the point that together with a co-writer Jon produces better work, and I stand by that. You mention 4 songs that Jon has written, I'm not going to bother to count them, but Jon and Richie have written what, 80 songs between them? I'd say that proves my point.
