Jon Bon Jovi is the proud co-owner of his own football team, Philadelphia Soul.
The team is new to the ladder.
Bon Jovi spent Monday and Tuesday in Philadelphia talking to the media about his latest venture with this co-owner, real estate developer Craig A. Spencer and the Commissioner David Baker. Guitarist Richie Sambora and wife Heather Locklear also flew in the a few days to lend some moral support for the team.
Spencer and Bon Jovi reportedly dropped down $15 million in funding to start the venture.
It was Jon who named the team Philadelphia Soul, citing the sound of Philadelphia from the 70s as his influence for the moniker.
Jon will appear in television commercials for the team but won't be bring out the Bon Jovi band for half-time performances.
The next Bon Jovi album 'Left Feels Right', featuring new acoustic versions of their greatest hits, will be released in November.
