I really like this song-perhaps my favorite of the album. But what exactly is it about. It seems to be about a hit and run of a little girl, but did it actually happen? Was the person an acquaintance of Jon or the band's? It's a great song, so I'd just like to have a little background on it. Thanks.

Someone else will tell the details but off the top of my head it is a true story about a girl that was killed, I think a friends of Jon's daughter.

The song is about a little girl who was tragically killed in a hit and run. She was the daughter of a close personal friend of the band (either producer, sound engineer, something like that) and unfortunatley is a true story

Or should I say a daughter of Jon's friend!

The daughter of Jon's manager Paul Korzillius died under very mysterious circumstances. Nobody really knows what happened, if it was a hit and run or if she got murdered.

This tragical story even was shown once in the TV-show "unsolved mysteries" where they try to find witnesses or something. But without any success.

That song is up with my favourites from that album.

There is one song that tops it (track no.6 for memory), but anyway its a really good song

The lyrics don't pay tribute to the event, they are simple. I am surprised that Paul Korzilius said it was okay for him to record it.

It is a good song, but it is a copy of Rocking In The Free World.

If you search long enough you always will find two songs that sound a little similar.

I don't think that this song sounds like Rockin in a free world. It is one of my fav songs on DA and I'll never forget how he sang this song live in 1997. You really could feel his anger then. It went really deep.
